This Is Lorelei has released new single “Oh No Now My,” the track is off the artist’s recently announced new album, The Singer in My Band, available September 11th via Matador Records. The track song is paired with a stop-motion animation video by Julia Fernandez.

Of the song, Nate Amos says “‘Oh No Now My’ is a song that ate itself – there were 3 versions of it before it landed here, where it has nothing in common with the original. I think it’s good but it’s hard to sing. I hope you like it.”

Aside from This Is Lorelei, Amos’ other band Water From Your Eyes, sold out shows around the globe, as well as  multiple artists, including MJ Lenderman, Jeff Tweedy, Waxahatchee, Cameron Winter and more cover his songs.

The Singer in My Band was written while Amos was on tour. “The ideas incubated while daydreaming in the car without access to any instruments,” he recalls, “so instead of being home and writing on the guitar or a computer, they developed slowly and subconsciously, existing as a sort of intangible thing while looking out the van window.” Says Amos: “It’s funny, I sent my dad the album after I finished it, and he said it was kind of an “on the road beatnik” album and that reframed it for me,” says Amos. “It really is like a collection of chaotic experiences that you have while travelling. They’re also very much little works of fiction with elements of truth to them.”
