The Seams unveil new video for “Seeds”
Toronto power-pop group The Seams, (featuring members of WISH, Fake Palms, Elsa) have just dropped a brand new video for “Seeds,” taken from their debut album Meet the Seams, out now through Hand Drawn Dracula.
The Seams blend influences of straight-forward guitar bands from the 60’s-90’s. Their first album Meet The Seams is a raw introduction to their electric side. Drawing heavily from 60’s AM radio to 80’s and 90’s college rock and Brit pop, the songs bring to mind a young REM or GBV – even Oasis at their most brash. The band’s core songwriting duo of Kyle Connolly and Jonathan Rogers have strayed away from the reverb soaked melancholy of their main projects (Wish, Elsa, respectively) to a clean energy that is something more than the sum of its parts. Recorded by Josh Korody (Beliefs, Dilly Dally, Fucked Up) the album’s clarity helps showcase the band’s true intent.
The Seams play Toronto’s Silver Dollar Room on January 6 alongside Partner, Lonely Parade, Veins, and SIGIL.
