Montreal Montreal-artist Patrick Holland releases his first single of 2023, with “The Leash”. “I wanted to make a tune that leapt out of the speakers – every time it became familiar and easy to follow I’d shoehorn in a new part and force it to translate while retaining excitement.” Says Holland on “The Leash.”

Along with the single, Holland shares a self-shot music video he created travelling up State Route 1. Featuring snapshots of the beach, the road’s shoulder, a hotel room, and various high-speed highway locations, Holland aimed to capture the playful mood of the song and provide a window into solo life on the road.

In addition to his production work, Holland has also made a name for himself as a DJ, running imprints ASL Singles Club and SOBO, and playing at iconic venues and festivals around the world, including Berghain, Montreaux Jazz Festival, MOMA PS1, Sonar, MUTEK, DOUR, MELT, Zhao Dai, and more.

In 2021/2022, Holland toured as TOPS‘ bassist, and debuted his solo live show opening for Michael Imperioli & Tonstartssbandht in the USA & Canada. His latest album, You’re The Boss, released in the summer of 2022, marks his first foray into guitar-driven indie pop.

Patrick Holland (fka Project Pablo), is a Canadian musician, producer, and DJ who has established himself as a prominent figure in the underground dance music scene over the past decade. With records such as I Want to Believe and Closer, Holland helped define the sound of dance music in the 2010s.
