Telemakus has released his new single “The Center Eye,” the track features DJ, Rapper and Filmmaker Flying Lotus and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. The song is the final taste ahead off the arrival of his forthcoming album Eight Ring Revival. The LP also features Liv.e and Karriem Riggins (of GENA), Sparklmami, Nicole McCabe, and more., and drops October 20, 2026 via Good Problem Studios.

“The Center Eye” is a dream of my childhood,” says Telemakus. “It represents the intention of playing the piano in a way that is jubilant, fun, accessible and ties my pain in the notes into a colorful celebration. It captures me slowly losing the use of my hands, but holding the hope of the future all the same. I think a universal force governs the creation of a song, and this track is truly one that amalgamates myself, Flylo and Miguel. It proves how the lived experiences of my childhood and inspiration are communicating with the future path of being able to commune with my heroes, creatively and musically.”

After Telemakus was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome several years ago, the producer, composer, and self-taught pianist realized he’d never again make music with his hands as he once knew them. A condition that causes severe finger hyper-extension, Telemakus was directed to wear eight silver rings around his finger joints at all times. As his connection and control of instruments slipped away, his rings became conduits; restored paths to self-expression. It was a shift that forced a new approach: composing by voice, by feet, by memory, by directing others to play what he could hear but could no longer physically reach.
