Ten Fé release new single ‘Elodie’

Ten Fé from London make “darkly romantic” electronic rock and roll described as “irresistible”, “big, bold and ambitious” and “oozing swagger”.

After the success of In The Air, the driving, indie anthem released by duo Ben Moorhouse and Leo Duncan in December which went to no. 2 in the Hype Machine chart, they give us more of the same brooding, meditative heights in the contagious ‘Elodie’.

‘Elodie’ is a modern love song, with an urgent, infectious groove that channels The Cure and The War On Drugs. It showcases Ten Fe’s self-assured song-writing abilities and their desperate, heartening sonic.

The duo’s intense creative relationship is at the fore again – with Ben and Leo’s vocals playing off one another’s throughout the track. As on ‘In The Air’, Ben is on lead vocal once more, narrating in a rich Springsteen baritone a conversation between two lovers.

Written the night before the band left London for Berlin to record with producer Ewan Pearson, it is the first track to be recorded featuring the complete Ten Fé live line-up – with Rob Shipley on bass and Luca Romano on drums.

‘Elodie’ is released on Bad Life (Petite Noir, Mai Kino, Attaque, Whitey) the eclectic London label that also brought out Ten Fé’s anthemic Make Me Better and In The Air.   The three tracks give us a hint of what’s in store from the band’s forthcoming full-length album, which they have been working on in Berlin with producer Ewan Pearson (Jagwar Ma, M83, The Rapture).  The band continually deliver a sound that’s infused with electronics, an obvious influence from the city, complementing the band’s signature psychedelia, melody and harmony.

This year, Ben, Leo, Rob and Luca played storming sets at Eurosonic and Fireworks festival, Paris with Public Access T.V., Oh Wonder, Hinds, C Duncan, La Priest and Baio.  The video for ‘Elodie’ was filmed after their packed-out show on the streets of Pigalle by collaborators Silent Tapes Films.

Catch Ten Fé in the UK at The Pickle Factory, London, on 5 May as well as The Great Escape 2016 and the Lost Village festival. The band will play several UK and European festivals including Cabourg Mon Amour Festival, France in July with Jagwar Ma and Hinds and Trafalgar Festival, Spain in July with Everything Everything, Circa Waves, Damien Jurado and Crystal Fighters. Many more are still to be announced.
