Sweet Pill have shared new single “Smoke Screen,” the track is of their forthcoming album Still There’s A Glow. “This song is sorta like the inner monologue of battling your self doubt,” explains singer Zayna Youssef of the song. The track is accompanied by a an OD Blank-directed video. “The album has a lot of lyrics about burning or any sort of thing associated with fire: “Sun Blind” mentions a sun, “Glow” references haze, “Slow Burn” with cigarettes and literally slow burning! For “Smoke Screen”‘ I see myself being destructive like fire, not easy to contain and ruining everything I touch, spreading fast. Sometimes we need to slow down and clear the voices out of our head. So unlike “Glow,” where I want to be blanketed in ignorance, “Smoke Screen” has this yearn to get out of the smoke and open my eyes.” The song follows additional album tracks “Slow Burn,” “Glow” and “No Control.” Still There’s A Glow arrives on March 13th via Hopeless Records. The album was recorded by Gradwell House wizards Matt Weber (producer, engineer, mixing) and Dave Downham (mastering).

The Philadelphia/New Jersey band includes Youssef, guitarists Jayce Williams and Sean McCall, bassist Ryan Cullen, and drummer Chris Kearney–had been going virtually nonstop since the release of Where the Heart Is (Topshelf). They went on tour with La Dispute and The Wonder Years, embarked on their own headlining runs–organically growing a devoted fanbase. Fans of the band, include Hayley Williams and Doja Cat, while continuing to tour nonstop worldwide and play festivals like Best Friends Forever, Riot Fest, and Outbreak.
