“Summer Quarter” By Madeline Kenney

Madeline Kenney has dropped a video for “Summer Quarter.” The title-track is off of her current EP, available now via Carpark. The clip features Kenney steering a sailboat as the sun begins to set over the water in Oakland, CA. The video was self-recorded, and allows viewers to take in the self-reflective and existential lyrics of the song while watching Kenney operate the ropes and bearings of the boat.

Madeline Kenney supervises a kindergarten pod and her students love death metal so naturally, they recorded a song together under the name Blood Fang. It is up on Bandcamp for one day only, March 5th, 2021 (Bandcamp Friday). All proceeds from the song will be donated to a local Oakland food bank.

Blood Fang is a brand new Death Metal outfit — brand new to the art form and nearly new to life itself. At a median age of just 6, the members of Blood Fang set out to capture the ennui of daily life, the collected emotional ephemera of a brief life lived in a decaying society… and set it on fire. And stomp on it. And scream at it.
