“Stay Lost” by Destroyer

Today, Destroyer shares a new video for “Stay Lost” from ken, the 12th studio album released by the Dan-Bejar-lead group. Called “a user’s guide to the world” by Bejar, the imagery for “Stay Lost” depicts an aimless yet determined craftsman fabricating a world for himself.

Director Maxwell McCabe-Lokos’s note: The video tries to capture the song’s wit and ability to portray someone’s preoccupation, their metaphysical condition, with so few words. Stay Lost – an endorsement for those who don’t fit, for those who will build their own totems, and revel in their ability to do it.

Today also marks the beginning of Destroyer’s North American tour, which begins on January 10th at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, and stops in cities including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and Montreal before concluding in Vancouver on February 9. On January 12, in Los Angeles, Destroyer will play KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic before performing at the Regent Theatre that evening.
