Montreal band, Stars have dropped their new single “Are You With Me?” The track is now available on Last Gang “Are You With Me?” Mixed by Marcus Paquin (Hey Rosetta!, The National) and produced by Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene, Gord Downie), who said “My favorite Stars songs are the graveyard tunes. They are exceptional at capturing the drama and reality of losing someone while trying to save them at the same time. It was an honor to finally work with them.” Stars add, “To work on a song with Kevin Drew reminded us all of what a beautiful person and brave artist he is, and why someone like Gord Downie trusted him to interpret his last music. Speaking of Gord, the words to this song came about after Torq spent one liquidy night sending text messages to Gord’s old cell phone number. It’s very difficult not to miss that guy, and sometimes you just want to send a message into the ether and hope he receives it. We’ve always used songs to communicate with ghosts. If you can think of a better method, let us know. We have a lot of ghosts we want to talk to…”

“Are You With Me?” is the latest in a series of new Stars singles, including “One Day Left” and “Ship To Shore,” that follow the band’s 2017 release, There Is No Love In Fluorescent Light (Last Gang Records). Stars are touring North America this fall, starting November 26th in Edmonton, AB.
