Sports Team share the official video for their new single “The Races”. The video stars Alex Arnold (Poldark, Skins) and sees Sports Team take a back seat as a wedding band while drama unfolds around them. It was shot over a day at Charlton House in south London and directed by Lily Rose Thomas. Sports Teams’ current release Making Hay was recorded at Livingston Studios in London and produced by longtime collaborator Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever).

“Label shills employed specifically to be yes-men couldn’t muster a compliment for this one. Only managed ‘that really is unlike anything I’ve seen any other band doing, you should be commended for that’. Had a nice day introducing our parents to a former Skins actor though.”

The band recently wrapped up a headline tour of the US, accompanying the release of their debut US EP, Making Hay, which sold out immediately. Sports Team are a rapidly growing phenomenon in the UK where despite not yet releasing an album, the six piece sold out the 2,300 capacity O2 Forum in London last week. The band will be back touring the US and Canada in April.
