London-based and British/Icelandic born three-piece Dream Wife have shared a new single ahead of their US debut at SXSW and tour with The Kills. On “Somebody”, a driving bass-line meets elegant yet gritty guitars to reinforce the lyrical message of the song – “I am not my body, I am somebody.” See below to find all upcoming US tour dates.

Dream Wife on “Somebody”-
“‘Somebody’ is a ballad for women. The song explores the experience of living in a female body within our society. It’s a conversation on the reclamation of bodies by the women who occupy them in a tender, yet direct and empowering way.”

Dream Wife released their debut EP EP01 last year through Lucky Number (Hinds, Sleigh Bells). The band has also sold out venues across UK/Europe, played festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, and toured with the likes of Sleigh Bells. Dream Wife are: Rakel Mjöll (lead vocals), Alice Go (guitar and vocals) and Bella Podpadec (bass and vocals).
