Sleaford Mods announce North American tour

Sleaford Mods announce North American dates, starting, March 30th in Brooklyn,

Sleaford Mods – the Nottingham duo of Jason Williamson (vocals + lyrics) and Andrew Fearn (music), are finally announcing their first-ever North American tour for Spring 2017.

About their Spring tour, Jason Williamson said: “It’s hardly lock up your daughters is it haha but it’s about time the US had a worthy English export”.

Sleaford Mods signed to Rough Trade earlier this year, releasing the TCR 12”/EP on their new label last month, the title track of which will feature on a new LP for release early next year.

The duo have been touring their native UK and Europe tirelessly for the past few years, both in rock clubs and the festival circuit (Field Day, Melt, Roskilde, Glastonbury); US fans could only watch and wait. But finally, the duo, who Iggy Pop himself called “undoubtedly, absolutely, definitely the worlds greatest rock n roll band”, will make it to these shores.

Born partly out of frustration and partly by accident sometime around 2006, Sleaford Mods quickly found its feet as an aggressive verbal onslaught on all that is contrived and connected to the day-to-day hammer of low paid employment and the domestic situations arising from that trap.

March 30 – Brooklyn, NY – Warsaw
April 1 – Toronto, ONT – Lee’s Palace
April 3 – Chicago, IL – Double Door
April 5 – Seattle, WA – Neumos
April 7 – San Francisco, CA – Slim’s
