Ethan P. Flynn—best known for his previous collaborations with artists like FKA twigs, Nia Archives, and David Byrne—has now joined forces with Ava Gore, forming the new London-based experimental pop duo, Silver Gore. The two mark their official debut with the release of their new single “Dogs In Heaven,” out now via Island Records. “We set out to make a song based around exactly how weʼre feeling in a moment,” Silver Gore explain. “Every decision then grows from that emotion; whether itʼs the lyrics or the drum sound. We try to document it exactly how it is in the moment.”

Their new song, written by Gore, tackles loss of innocence, inspired by her memory of watching the cartoon All Dogs Go To Heaven and learning about its grim twists. “I spent lots of hours alone, watching this film with our family dog,” she reflects. “This song is about making decisions and the unexpected consequences that come from them.”

Ava Gore met Ethan P. Flynn in 2018 before joining his band as a drummer and vocalist in 2021. Now the two make music together under Silver Gore, and they’ll be appearing at several festivals in the UK and Europe later this summer.
