shower curtain, are back with announcement of words from a wishing well (Deluxe Edition), out May 23rd, and share their new single/video, “starpower – Computerwife Remix.” The deluxe edition of words from a wishing well taps into shower curtain’s community of rising NYC artists to reimagine a handful of album tracks, beginning with today’s Computerwife rework and including additional remixes from Retail Drugs, fantasy of a broken heart, Crate and more.

“starpower – Computerwife Remix” is glitchy and sparse, with drum machines grounding bursts of distortion. The accompanying music video is shot, directed and edited by Victoria Winter. Starring Winter and Computerwife’s Addie Warncke, the self-produced video sees the two artists orbiting each other around lower Manhattan, before convening near the Williamsburg Bridge in a grungy twist of fate. Of the video, Winter adds: “This video is very special to me because it’s the first time I directed and edited by myself. I’ve always been very involved in all our music videos with co-direction, but to execute it just me and Addie was really awesome. We had a fun day of shooting it around New York, and making things a blend of our projects’ worlds. I loved working with her on this.“

The remix precedes shower curtain’s forthcoming tour, which includes performances at SXSW, Treefort Music Festival, and a West Coast run of dates supporting Dummy. To

words from a wishing well is the debut record from shower curtain, the New York quartet fronted by Brazilian-American artist Victoria Winter (vocals/guitar), alongside Ethan Williams (guitar/vocals), Sean Terrell (drums), and Cody Hudgins (bass). Self-produced by Winter and Williams, words from a wishing well sketches early adulthood experiences in swirling layers of guitars. Winter wrote its tracks across her first few years of living in New York City, and they exist within a conversation between one’s own intuition and that of the universe.
