NYC collective CORPUS is releasing Side A of their Mutual Aid EP. The release includes songs from Show Me The Body, Sporting Life, Hook and more and arrives after CORPUS met their goal of $20,000 to their Mutual Aid Fund. Side B, available for pre-order now, features Edgar The Beatmaker (King Krule), ACEMO, Tripp Jones, and more and will be released when they hit their next goal of $30,000. 50% of overall sales of the CORPUS Mutual Aid EP sides A & B will go directly to the Nina Pop Mental Health Recovery Fund by The Okra Project.

The CORPUS Mutual Aid Fund benefits CORPUS artists and people working in the New York City experimental/DIY music community that are reliant on live shows, and have been financially impacted by COVID-19. An update from CORPUS on the fund’s intention is below.

AS OF FRIDAY JUNE 5 THE CORPUS FAMILY MUTUAL AID FUND WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FROM BLACK ARTISTS AND BLACK PEOPLE CREATING, PARTICIPATING IN, AND SUPPORTING THE NYC MUSIC COMMUNITY, AND BLACK, BROWN AND INDIGENOUS ORGANIZERS. THIS WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL WE REACH OUR OVERALL GOAL OF 40K. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE APPLYING.

The Nina Pop Mental Health Relief Fund is an emergency mutual aid fund by The Okra Project that raises money to pay for mental health therapy, to be used by Black trans women, Black trans feminine people and/or Black folks who identify as trans gender who have been participating in the protests against state sanctioned violence or are coping with the emotional stress of the public murders of Nina Pop, Tony McDade, and the epidemic of trans people being murdered worldwide.
