Shopping drop new track, extend tour

Shopping Share New Song "Straight Lines" & Extend North American Tour with Ought, Shannon and The Clams,

East London post-punk group Shopping — Rachel Aggs (guitar), Billy Easter (bass) and Andrew Milk (drums) — mesh edginess with a huge sense of fun. And while they embody the spirit of experimentation, social upheaval, clashing gender politics and ethical change that defined their 70’s counterparts and still ring true today. Why Choose, Shopping’s follow-up to debut album Consumer Complaints, retains the urgency, bite and the bristling, shard-syncopated rhythm-hooks of its predecessor. The band has shared debut single, “Why Wait,” and now presents “Straight Lines,” which Milk describes as “a love song for our times as retold in a tell all autobiography some 10 years later.”

Shopping’s Why Choose is out October 2nd on FatCat Records. The band will tour North America for the first time this fall, supporting Shannon and the Clams and Priests.
