Today, Shlohmo shares his new video for the track “Beams,” Directed by Jack Irv, the clip intends to capture “the rawness and nostalgic carelessness associated with youth culture,” says WeDidIt co-founder Nick Melons. He continues, “‘Beams’ as a track demanded that, with its relentless percussion stacked against an energetic yet emotional chord progression reminiscent of post-rock. I came across the director on Vine – he was documenting his days and nights in New York through six-second videos that looked like a modern day Kids shot entirely through an iPhone. We decided to attempt a collaboration, so he would send over batches of tiny clips from which we stitched together the video for ‘Beams.”
