Her’s Shares New Single “I’ll Try”

Her's Shares "I'll Try"

The seeds of Her’s have well and truly rooted themselves in Liverpool. Originally a meeting of minds between Norway’s Audun Laading and Barrow-born Stephen Fitzpatrick, Her’s forged a strong chemical bond through a mutual love of off-kilter humour and outsider art.

Having clocked over one million streams between the two tracks on their debut single ‘Dorothy’ and ‘What Once Was’, and after following it up with the lackadaisical thrift-store humour of their sun-bleached single “Marcel” and the exhilarating surf romp of “Speed Racer”, Her’s are now primed to release what will be a rollicking document of their infant career so far. Songs of Her’s will be out on the 12th of May, and it includes all their recorded output to date plus five new songs to make for the most complete introduction to their eccentric world yet.

Prior to this Her’s are debuting new song “I’ll Try”. Taking a more romantic turn than the raunchy singles they’ve so far put out, “I’ll Try” comes on like Mac Demarco fronting The Smiths – all lovelorn ballideering atop sprightly indie bass lines with shades of jangle pop in the production. This new number reveals a tender and unpredictable side to the duo, whose vital take on slacker rock has taken them to the top of their city’s vibrant new indie scene.
