ACTIVE CHILD has returned with his new single/video for “Set Me Free.” The track was Co-produced by Andrew Sarlo (Bon Iver, Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker) and featuring Joey Waronker (Beck, Elliott Smith, R.E.M.) on drums, “Set Me Free” finds singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Patrick Grossi delivering his most soul-shaking performance to date. Wavering between moments of lush harp swells, cascading piano breakdowns, and mountainous vocal layers, the track is both an explosion of light and a deeply reflective examination of that light.

Today’s release arrives ahead of two recently announced live dates for Active Child, the first new performance dates in over three years. Active Child will play Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom on Wednesday, October 30 and Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on Tuesday, November 5 – tickets for both dates are available here.

Touching down for headline tours and festivals across four continents, Active Child has toured alongside the likes of James Blake and M83 as well as officially remixing tracks from Lana Del Rey, Marina and the Diamonds, and Angus and Julia Stone. His considerable list of cosigns also extends to pop superstars including Ellie Goulding, who notably covered his song “Hanging On” for her platinum-certified chart-topping album Halcyon and was later featured on his single “Silhouette.”
