singer and musician Doe Paoro. The expansive and atmospheric track is entitled “Second Door”, the track is off her forthcoming sophomore release, due out on Anti, next year.

Doe Paoro on “Second Door”:

with its mantra like chorus of “Next time I’ll know, I’ll help amend, let it be so, love comes again,” was written about “seeking forgiveness, both from others and for self” and was inspired by the Tibetan idea of the “Bardo,” a transitional stage between death and rebirth.

“Second Door” was produced by Jimmy Hogarth who has previously worked with Amy Winehouse, James Blunt, James Bay and others. In addition, the track features guitar work and ambient sounds care of Leo Abrahams, who produced Regina Spektor’s recent Remember Us to Life album and frequently collaborates with musician Brian Eno.

Paoro kicks off her Los Angeles residency at renowned venue The Hotel Cafe starting tomorrow, Wednesday November 1st, and including November 8th and November 15th.
