“Save Me” By Empress Of

Lorely Rodriguez aka Empress Of has shared “Save Me.” The song arrives with a new video shot on location in Mexico City and directed by Alexis Gómez portraying various vignettes of embrace and touch along with surreal floral imagery. To create the visual counterpart for “Save Me,” Lorely worked with the sexual wellness company Dame to bring the visuals to life. “Save Me” is the first taste of a new project from Empress Of coming later this year.

Speaking about the new single, Empress Of says: “This is probably one of my favorite songs I have ever made. I’ve never put live strings on a recording before, it was very emotional. There’s a sexual urgency. There’s a power play. I think it’s one of the sexiest songs I’ve made.”

Empress Of will be performing at KCRW’s First Fridays at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles on May 6th with Colombian-born, LA-based artist Loyal Lobos opening.

“Save Me” follows the 2020 full-length album I’m Your Empress Of, which Pitchfork stated is “as addictive as modern love” and features the stand out track “Give Me Another Chance.” The new single also follows Empress Of’s assistance on the tracks “Note To Self” by Jim-E Stack, “Love In Reverse” by MNDR and “Vacío” by Jarina De Marco, all released last year.
