ROSTAM to Open for Brian Wilson in NYC

ROSTAM to Play New Solo Material in NY for First Time, Opening for Brian Wilson in NYC

ROSTAM is set to open for Brian Wilson at McCarren Park on June 12 and will bring with him a new stage show, complete with the two dancers from the “Gravity Don’t Pull Me” video and a string quartet. This is ROSTAM’s first New York solo show in many years. Expect new material interspersed with his growing body of solo work, including his song Wood.

After nearly a decade as producer of three Vampire Weekend albums, in January ROSTAM announced that he would no longer be a member of the band, while affirming that he may reprise his role as co-writer and producer on future Vampire Weekend songs. Since coming off tour in 2014, Rostam has been locked in the studio focusing on his role as producer for artists such as Charli XCX, Carly Rae Jepsen, Santigold, and Ra Ra Riot. In 2016 he has been focusing on writing and recording new solo material, as well as production for forthcoming releases from Hamilton Leithauser and Haim.
