RL Grime shares “Around Me,” the third single from his forthcoming album, PLAY, along with a visualizer. His first album since 2019, PLAY is set for release on September 15th.

“Around Me” unveils the third distinct experience of RL’s new album, RUSH, a groundbreaking collection of songs that push his formative influences of deep house and techno into new territory. Speaking on the track, the DJ and Producer shares, “ [I] Made this one early on in the album process and it ultimately set the tone for what RUSH would become … This section of the album became a place where i could venture back into the house/breaks/garage/techno/etc roots that got me into dance music in the first place. I think i was always hesitant to release anything like this as RL because i wanted a clear distinction from my older projects.. it was important for me to create a space where I could explore those genres and have it make sense contextually.”

Comprised of three chapters, PLAY™ is RL Grime’s 3rd studio album, which he’s unveiling with a total of 21 tracks separated into 3 fully crafted 7 track experiences – APEX, GRID and RUSH; each representing a totally different aspect of RL’s sound.

Launching in late October, the artist’s 14-date tour launches at San Diego’s Gallagher Square before moving up the coast to San Francisco and across the country to Chicago, New York, and Atlanta and more.
