Ahead of their upcoming album Protomensch, dropping on February 13 via Mute Records, German synth-duo Felsmann + Tiley have shared new single “Reset.” from Felsmann + Tiley: ““Reset” feels like the right closing statement for a year like 2025 – an invitation to pause, step out of the noise, reflect… and reset. Machines revert with a click, but we reset in quieter, human ways. A night of sleep, a deep breath, an honest apology – those tiny rituals are enough to make space for a new beginning. “Reset” is a gentle reminder of that, and the end of the year feels like the perfect moment to think about these things.”
The track follows the previous release of album tracks “OPIOID” and “Warnung.”

More from the band: “Within the emotional arc of the singles, “Opioid” and “Warnung” are the confrontation – the chaotic push-and-pull between comfort and self-destruction. “Reset” is the exhale that follows. The album manifesto touches on everything from innovation to self-sabotage, and even though that worldview can feel dark, it’s ultimately about what it means to be human today. Placing “Reset” after “Opioid” and “Warnung” creates a moment of clarity after the storm. When we were assembling the tracklist, we even referred to it as a palette cleanser – a moment that wipes the slate clean, like a sorbet cutting through a long degustation.”

Having met by chance in 2003 on a German music production forum called MyOwnMusic.de, Felsmann + Tiley soon discovered they shared a lot more than their hometown of Stuttgart. “We were attracted to the depth and melancholy of trance pads and breakdowns that always had a certain darkness to them.” Their 12-inch Ghosts under an alias Kamui was followed by a string of blistering belters by five other aliases released on different labels, all linked by thick and heavy club sound. “And then from 2006 onwards we also started touring and doing DJ gigs all around the world.”
