Remy Banks streams “Higher” and new video

Remy Banks shares 'Higher' in its entirety, releases new video for "Exhale." Remy Banks plays select dates with Earl Sweatshirt

After recently announcing the details for his new solo project, Remy Banks is back today to release higher in full and share the video for it’s closing track “exhale.” Its release comes in the midst of Remy’s US tour with Earl Sweatshirt, which sees the two hitting Arizona and Texas for the rest of this month before Canada, the East Coast and the South in August.

The 26 year-old Queens native has always had a way with the mic. From his beginnings in his group Children of the Night to his duty as frontman of Queens super crew Worlds Fair, Remy Banks’ unique style combines golden era NYC boom bap and futuristic sounds.

Born in Jamaica, Queens and raised in Forest Hills, Remy has seen both sides of the borough. His versatile style both on and off the microphone exemplify this rigid dichotomy. “Growing up, I was all over queens. Bayside to Southside, Long Island City to Hollis, I embraced the whole borough”.

Remy started to take rapping serious at age 19 when he and his Worlds Fair cohorts first met. “We all grew up together one way or another so we started a conglomerate and gave it a name,” he said speaking of World’s Fair’s formation. With the help of Remy’s undeniable charisma and the group’s uncanny ability to rock the mic, Worlds Fair had the spotlight shining on Queens.

Remy’s new project higher. is his first solo effort since World’s Fair’s Bastards of the Party, and features Odd Future and The Internet’s Syd, D.R.A.M. and Hak of Ratking, as well as production from frequent collaborator Black Noi$e, King Krule, Odd Future’s Left Brain and Ratking’s Sporting Life, among others.
