Raveena has released a new song and video “Headaches.” The singer/songwriter describes the song, as about “the dizziness that comes with being in love.” The accompanying visual is Raveena’s directorial debut – Raveena also conceptualized the piece, created the set design and styled the full shoot, which features her friend Hitomi Mochizuki as the love interest in the story. In a haze of vibrant technicolor, the video guides you through Raveena’s memories of a past relationship, landing on moments where she feels fully alive and enveloped in love.

“Headaches” is the first offering of new music since her acclaimed debut album Lucid released last year. The song arrives ahead of her forthcoming Asia tour and performances at Coachella and Hangout Music Festival. These upcoming shows mark her first performances since her debut headlining North American tour.

Raveena on “Headaches:”

“‘Headaches’ is about the push and pull of the beginning of a romantic relationship – the sickly sweet emotional rollercoaster of learning to trust someone during the rush of the honeymoon phase. My producer (Everett Orr) and I were really inspired by a lot of the psychedelic and indie rock I listened to growing up and wanted to make a track that paid homage to that.”
