Amsterdam’s Radio Trapani have released their new single “Bending The Matter,” a collaboration with Anton Sconosciuto and Nic T. The track dropped January 16, 2026.

Born from a spontaneous studio session at Radio Trapani’s Amsterdam base, “Bending The Matter” took shape in real time. Words and melodies emerged simultaneously, conceived and composed on the same day in a stream of consciousness approach that captures something urgent and unpolished.

Radio Trapani handled bass, guitar, synths, vocals, and the mix, while Nic T contributed guitar, vocals, and lyrics. Anton Sconosciuto rounded out the trio on drums and vocals. Alessandro Mazzieri provided the master, with Plms handling cover design.

The track wrestles with humanity’s compulsion to control its environment. The lyrics examine our need to polish surfaces and impose order, creating serial patterns and right angles that would never exist in nature. It’s an anthropological look at perfectionism as armor, a way to feel in control of an inherently chaotic world. Heavy footsteps on crowded streets, bending matter until it looks better, scraping and polishing faces that never quite improve.

Recorded live in Radio Trapani’s studio, the single preserves the raw energy of its creation. The approach mirrors the tension at its core: the push and pull between spontaneity and our endless refinement of everything we touch.
