Austin, TX noise-pop band DAIISTAR have shared a new video for “Purified,” lifted from their recently released debut album Good Time. Produced by Alex Maas of The Black Angels, the album arrived September 8th on Fuzz Club. In support of the record, the band are gearing up for a US tour through October with The Black Angels and The Dandy Warhols, plus six newly-announced dates with The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

On “Purified,” Alex Capistran (guitar/vocals) says: “Glide through “Purified” and unwind your mind. In this track we turn down the tempo, turn up the reverb and stroll down memory lane. Reminiscing over warm nights spent cozied up while spiralling through meaningless conversation on a dopamine cloud. Purified’s reverb soaked guitar riffs, tender vocals and euphoric rhythm translate the weightlessness of being in love. For me this song hits close to the heart and I hope it finds its way to yours too.”

“To us these songs were a glimmer of light”, Capistran says of the new album: “Starting a band at the peak of the pandemic to some might seem ill timed, but to us it was a way to escape for a moment.
