Public Access T.V. share “Metropolis” Video

Public Access T.V. share their new video for the single "Metropolis,"

NYC band Public Access T.V. have announced the release of their debut EP in the US on Terrible Records. Public Access EP will be available digitally on May 12th and on vinyl June 16th.

Today, the band has shared a video for their song, “Metropolis”, directed by Jason Miller. It’s a love song for the Manhattan band, who recently lost their East Village home to a fire, singing, “I don’t wanna live in California, I’ll take New York any day…even when it’s bringing me down…” Watch the video below.

Public Access T.V. frontman, John Eatherly, dropped out of high school at the age of 16 to join the Nashville teenage punk band Be Your Own Pet. After the break up of BYOP, Eatherly moved to New York City and spent the next seal years as a touring musician/ session player with acts like; Eleanor Friedberger, Smith Westerns, Chairlift, and others. Growing frustrated by the “boring and played out Manhattan music scene” which he found himself surrounded, Eatherly decided to put his own band together. Inspired by 70’s Punk and 90’s Brit Pop, he quickly got a couple of his best friends to join him and complete thePublic Access T.V. line up.

Previous touring partner Friedberger had this to say to the NME about Eatherly: “John from Public Access TV possesses that embarrassing-to-admit and hard-to-define quality known as “star power.” He has the best stage presence of anyone I’ve ever played with. He made the best sideman for me, and it was only a matter of time before he had the nerve to front his own band.”
