New York City rapper Wiki is back with a new song and video for “Pretty Bull” available everywhere via XL Recordings.
Directed by Ben Solomon, the video sees Wiki in his element in downtown Manhattan, surrounded by friends for a party at the local bodega. The song highlights the diverse community Wiki calls home – and in conjunction, the video reflects his standing amongst the youth of the city, inviting everyone in the neighborhood out, from the goonies, weirdos, skaters, graffiti writers and everyone in between.
“Back in the day a club ‘The Tunnel’ in Midtown would host different nights for different scenes, they would have crazy techno nights, gay nights, and rap nights all back to back. The track’s for today’s scene and generation where we’re all out together having a good time”
Additionally, Wiki today announces a five night run of shows to be staged in each of New York City’s five boroughs – the series will see the Manhattan native performing for five consecutive nights at secret locations (listed below). Each show will feature a special guest notable to the night’s borough. Locations and guests to be announced soon.
Over the weekend Wiki made his Glastonbury debut in which he brought out his UK friends Skepta, Suspect OTB and Jesse James Solomon.
