UK artist, Puma Blue shares the track “Postcard From Tokyo” and an official video, taken from the forthcoming Deluxe Edition of In Praise of Shadows, due out November 5th. The Deluxe Edition is completed by two new bedroom studio recordings, the previously released “All I Need” (a Radiohead cover) perfectly extending the album’s small hours spirit and “Postcard from Tokyo.” The song explores explores loneliness with brutal honesty and a sparse acoustic atmosphere. The track feels like a departure from reality— transcendent, dissonant, and peaceful. Puma Blue released his debut LP In Praise of Shadows in 2021.

On the song, Jacob shares:

“‘Postcard From Tokyo’ was one of the first songs I wrote for In Praise of Shadows, and although it didn’t fit onto the album in the end, it’s a very special song to me. I was trying to make something reflective of a particular time I was going through after our first trip out to Japan in the autumn of 2018, creating a dissonant texture with filtered windchimes underneath this Johnny Cash inspired thing I’d written. It became a song about encountering loneliness and feeling lost in the midst of growing up.”
