Panda Bear Premieres New Songs Via Global Radio Stations + Announces Live-Streamed Show at MoMA

From yesterday morning, Sunday Jan 4, radio stations across the world began to premiere tracks from Panda Bear’s forthcoming album Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper, out Jan 13th on Domino. Starting with ‘Sequential Circuits’ on Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC 6 show, which aired yesterday between 7am-10am GMT, and including KCRW (Los Angeles), 1Live (Germany), Inter FM (Japan), Vodafone FM (Portugal), NPR (USA), and WTMD (Baltimore, Panda Bear’s hometown), amongst others, each to-date-unheard track from the album will premiere with a different radio station in the sequence they appear on the album.

A world map with premiere details for each track, including radio station, premiere timing, and links to listen live, can be found here.

Panda Bear will be playing a very special show in NYC this coming Sunday, Jan 11th. Presented by Boiler Room, and taking place in MoMA PS1’s VW Dome as part of their live program Sunday Sessions, the show will be backed by a one-off reproduction of art collaborator Danny Perez’s tour visual display, in surround in the Dome. The full broadcast will be available to stream online via Boiler Room here for those unable to attend in person. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. For more information on the event, head here.

Sunday Sessions and the VW Dome at MoMA PS1 are made possible by a partnership with Volkswagen of America. Major support is provided by MoMA’s Wallis Annenberg Fund for Innovation in Contemporary Art through the Annenberg Foundation.

Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper will be available in Standard CD and 2xLP formats, and Limited Edition Deluxe 2xCD and 3xLP formats. The Limited Edition Deluxe 2xCD and 3xLP includes the 4-song Mr Noah EP (available now digitally) in addition to the album in deluxe packaging.
