Overmono have dropped new single, “Even Angels Ghost”, a collaboration with Tennessee-based singer Kindora. The track arrives after the announcement of their new album Pure Devotion, available August 7 via XL Recordings. The song follows previous singles “Lockup” and is accompanied by a cinematic visual created by Overmono and Rollo Jackson.

Having discovered Kindora’s music during a Bandcamp deep-dive, Overmono sampled her voice on tracks such as 2022’s “Gunk” and “Cold Blooded”, before the three forged a genuine friendship, one that eventually led to Kindora recording original vocals for “Even Angels Ghost”. “We’re always drawn towards a particular tone in vocals, and hers is pretty much like the pinnacle,” Tom says of Kindora, whose voice carries a warm sensuality through “Even Angels Ghost”, like being embraced by someone you trust on the dancefloor.

For Kindora, the collaboration was personal. In her own words “Even Angels Ghost” is me being vulnerable and doing boy math as per usual, I am a very outgoing but also extremely shy person and I get in my head about every interaction. But when I’m with Overmono, I feel like I’m the third brother. They really are the best. I love working with them. I really appreciate their artistry and commitment to making good music.”
