Minais B, the Copenhagen based artist who has been releasing music under his own name, as well as running the label Anyines, known for releasing ML Buch‘s debut Skinned. His new album, And i know i can feel bad when i get in a bad mood, drops on June 20, 2025 via Anyines. It finds Klint expanding from ambient-leaning experimentation into poppier, vocal-driven terrain. Today, he shares the single “No surprise, it’s saturn return time.” “I’m losing both my loves at the same time,” Klint coos over a bed of warm synths and a sharp groove. Here, melancholy themes manifest in catchy ways.

Commenting on how the majority of songs came together, Minais B recalls listening to the ballads of Stevie Wonder (Fulfillingness’ First Finale, 1974) and the haunting final album of Choir of Young Believers (Holy Smoke 2022). Some of the songs (“Swirl”) came up as melodies in the head while taking long walks, and others are first-take jams. “Everyday I would go to Vaserne, a 86 hectare wetland that has always been a sanctuary for me. ‘Vase’ is an old word for a ‘path made of branches over a swampy area.’ Somehow that is what these songs are as well.”

Klint brought several close friends in to add to the record: drums, guitar, saxophone, background vocals and cello. In a fuss-free, DIY approach, the additions were fast and mostly unedited first takes. “I also tried to do the songwriter voice memo thing, but I was singing so out of pitch that I barely could tell the melody. Somehow they turned into songs anyway.”
