“No Alarm” by The Lives Of Famous Men

The Lives Of Famous Men are excited to release their new single “No Alarm.” The song is now available via Streaming services
lead singer Daniel Hall on “No Alarm” – “I started writing ‘No Alarm’ during the first term. I watched my partner go through chemotherapy while a spiteful billionaire tried to strip her and millions of others of their healthcare. Los Angeles was experiencing unseasonal wildfires. Gorsuch had been confirmed, and Kavanaugh was up next. Eight years later, the agents of spite and dirty money have clawed away so much from those with so little. Los Angeles is reeling from two devastating fires in a climate that no longer distinguishes between seasons. And the Supreme Court’s conservative majority has granted unprecedented power to the man who installed them. I think we tell ourselves things aren’t as bad as they seem because admitting it would be too overwhelming. But maybe it’s time to hit the panic button.”
Since forming in 2007, the band has collaborated with producers James Paul Wisner (Paramore), Casey Bates (Portugal. The Man), and Paul Q Kolderie (Radiohead).
In 2023 the quartet entered the studio with producer Alex Newport (Bloc Party) to record their album Greener Pasture Blues, a lush sonic landscape reflected in the Motown-inspired lead single “Darling Come Home,” the synthy “Yuri,” and the guitar-laden “You and Me in the PRC.” This summer they teamed up with Newport again, and we now have our first hint at what they’ve been working on.
