Nicky Rubin shares track ahead of LP release

Nicky Rubin shares I’ll Never Forget You" ahead of LP release.

Nicky Rubin is a man who followed a dream. After a lifetime travelling the world playing live music he is back with a new single and promises of a new studio album later in 2016. I’ll Never Forget You is the soundtrack based on of a free life spent travelling the world.

Nicky ran away from his hometown, Manchester at 17, hitch-hiking his way to Calcutta and beyond, gigging in every bar and dive along the Silk Road for the next 4 years, from the Khyber Pass to Paris, singing the stories of his young life so far, forging his personality and inspiring his songwriting from here on in. After a 12 month European tour based out of Vienna, he returned to London to complete his first album, War & Peace… The next few years were spent gigging in far flung destinations, writing songs about his continuing adventures, from Tanzania to the Crimea via New Zealand and South Africa and the continents of North and South America, before settling down in Ukraine for 8 years to explore his Russian roots where his 2nd album, Displaced, was conceived…

Nicky has now teamed up with a new band and his old War & Peace producer Daniel Steggall, for this latest release. I’ll Never Forget You, features the lush strings of Stella Page (Elbow/Blur), drums of Nikolaj Bjerre (Lamb), cinematic sounds of Pippo De Palma, guitar, Tiago Dias, bass (Loungedelic) & the soulful voice of Valerie Ettienne (Galliano) on backing vocals. It will be available via Ugly Mother Records everywhere from February 5th 2016.
