Ahead of the release of his forthcoming second LP, Spirals (out July 22 via SOTA Records), South African alt-R&B singer-songwriter Nick Leng has shared a live video for the record’s title track, “Spirals.” The video, enveloped in the hazy glow offered by the vintage camcorder-esque style it was filmed in, was taken while Leng was on tour with labelmate LP this spring. As Leng sits behind his piano, the audience before him is understandably mesmerized, completely taken by the emotion-laden, instrumentally lush performance taking place before them.

Speaking on his new live video, Nick wrote:

“Filmed in New York by Nick Ventura, an amazing friend and creative collaborator, while opening for LP on their North American tour. That show that was filmed was actually really difficult because, when I got on stage, my right in ear monitor died and so internally I was freaking out the whole time but I’m so happy everything went smooth. It was so wonderful having the song grow with me after playing night after night.”
