UK band Long Distance Runner have released “New Song.” The single was produced by Tom Kellett (Moreish Idols, Pearl2), and and will be issued on a ltd. white label 10” vinyl run alongside previous single “Zero.” Next month, the band will open for Swervedriver on a handful of dates, starting on October 23 in London at Village Underground.
The band Formed in West London, and featuring members of Dead Dad’s Club and Mandrake Handshake, and including members Ned Prevezer – Guitar, Joe Bourdier – Drums, James Stirrat – Baritone Guitar, and Maurice Talbot – Guitar.
Speaking more about the track, guitarist Ned Prevezer says: “”New Song” came out of us wanting to do something short and impactful. We wanted it to hit hard and disappear from view as quickly as it enters. In trying to make something a little more dense and structured we veered towards that sort of melodic interlocking guitar sound, like the smiths and Television. It’s more straightforward, but it still takes you on a journey in that 3 minutes.”
