Museum of Love Stream New Song

Museum of Love Stream New Song, Debut Album Out October 14th on DFA

With their debut self-titled album set for release this October, Museum of Love are now sharing a new track with their fans, with “The Who’s Who of Who Cares”, which you can hear today.  The project of longtime DFA affiliates Pat Mahoney and Dennis McNany, Museum of Love’s debut album is now also available for pre-order, with fans receiving instant downloads of previously released tunes, “Down South,” “In Infancy” and “Monotronic.”

The duo have been steadily gaining praise for their distinctly early DFA, overtly New York-centric dance-electronic grooves. Founding member and drummer for LCD Soundsystem, Pat Mahoney takes on vocal duties for the first time and of course, drums, on the record, co-writing the album with musician, producer and label-head Dennis McNany handling production and instrumentation as well. Longtime friends in New York, they found a similar sensibility that first came to fruition musically on their remix for Battles’ “My Machines feat. Gary Numan,” and extended into their creation of a record. Collective influences were drawn from Roxy Music, John Cale, Harry Nillsson, Love, Arthur Russell, Paul McCartney, Robert Wyatt, Sly & The Family Stone, Public Enemy, Fleetwood Mac, the Ying Yang Twins and many more, as Museum of Love look to the classics while also maintaining a timeless and current sound.
