Luna Li is back with new single “Multiplied,” the track, is the artist’s first new release since her 2024 LP When a Thought Grows Wings. Luna notes: “Multiplied is about the bittersweetness of growth; having to say goodbye to all of the different versions of myself I’ve been, as well as the people, places and things that made up those chapters of my life. A childhood home, an intimate friendship, a love that couldn’t last. But the refrain “I multiplied” simultaneously feels hopeful, optimistic; ready to welcome the new versions of myself I will become.“

The track was produced and mixed by collaborator Andrew Lappin (Orville Peck, L’Rain) arrives as the Korean-Canadian, Los Angeles-based artist prepares to take the stage supporting Lucy Dacus at two sold-out nights at The Castro Theatre in San Francisco on May 18th and 19th. Luna Li will also headline a sold-out show at The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles on May 21.

Luna Li first started posting solo bedroom jams, playing every instrument herself to create a soothing audio-visual loop. These clips culminated in her signature jams EPs. Li, a classically-trained multi-instrumentalist, released her 2022 debut LP Duality, which features collaborations with Jay Som and beabadoobee, and earned her a Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year. Li has since gone on tour with Japanese Breakfast, The Marías, Wolf Alice, and beabadoobee. Her 2024 record, When a Thought Grows Wings, produced in tandem with Scott Zhang (SZA, Drake) and Andrew Lappin (L’rain).
