Mount Kimbie have announced the release of CSFLY Remixes, a new 12” of reworked tracks taken off this year’s excellent Cold Spring Fault Less Youth. CSFLY Remixes arrives October 29th on Warp Records with remixes from DJ Koze, Kyle Hall and Lee Gamble.

The first taste of the 12” can be heard above. Detroit’s Kyle Hall remixing “You Took Your Time,” lending a glistening, soulful house edge to the original track, twisting it into a nearly eight minute house epic.

The 12” also features Kompakt’s DJ Koze, whose “Made To Stray” remix is almost unrecognizable to the original with his lush, drawn out edit, while Lee Gamble deconstructs “You Took Your Time” with thumping, driving beats. The remix 12” comes in addition to the recently released Oneman remix of “You Took Your Time,” featuring Jeremiah Jae in a whirling, beat-driven haze of highly textured yet minimalist touches of bass and dub.

With the release of Cold Spring Fault Less Youth, Mount Kimbie ceased to be simply producers, and rather embraced their magnetic role as composers, performers and arrangers, redefining the public’s expectations of an electronic duo.

Their ambitious live show, which expands on their sound with live instrumentation, can be seen now in select North American cities on a national tour with Stones Throw’s Jonwayne and D33J of Anticon, including a set at this weekend’s Decibel Festival in Seattle.
