Moon King Signs With Last Gang Records

Moon King Signs to Last Gang Records, Debut LP Out in 2015, Announce World Tour w/ Alvvays,

Moon King, the brainchild of Toronto native Daniel Benjamin and collaborator/co-conspirator Maddy Wilde have officially announced their signing to Last Gang Records, home to Crystal Castles, Death From Above 1979, Ryan Hemsworth and more. The band will be releasing their debut in 2015 with details of the new LP to be released very soon.

Moon King will be hitting the road with Alvvays as part of their world tour, including a string of Canadian dates and then heading to the UK and Europe. All dates are listed below.

Moon King weave dreamlike harmonies over buzz-saw guitars and electronic percussion, with their live performances capturing a raw-nerve intensity that verges on ecstatic. Their music has been compared to the likes of Cocteau Twins and Broadcast, but their sound remains distinctly unique. Moon King’s first EPs,Obsession I and Obsession II, were released on Fucked Up guitarist Mike Haliechuk’s label One Big Silence, and re-released in Europe by Tough Love Records in the fall of 2013.
