“Mono No Aware” Fury

FURY’s debut Entertainment Failure was recorded by Colin Knight and their own guitarist Madison Woodward at Paradise Records, in Anaheim, CA. This time, the band sought new surroundings and outside expertise, collaborating with engineer Andrew Oswald at Secret Bathroom Studios, mixing engineer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden) and Parquet Courts‘ Andrew Savage. The new batch of songs shows growth in all directions: the slow parts more brooding, the melodies catchier, the lyrics out even further on the limb.

FURY have released their latest single, “Mono No Aware” which came to fruition after a conversation Stith had about Japanese Cherry Blossoms. He explains, “the idea Mono No Aware is a Japanese term for the awareness of impermanence, something that I’ve thought about every day since in some way or another and has helped guide me where I need to go.”
