This year, Miami’s Art Basel crowd will be treated to an unprecedented forward- thinking, interactive creation destination. NQB8R (read: Incubator) is a touring creators village made of repurposed shipping containers that empowers artists to collaborate onsite and off-the-cuff. During the remaining months leading up to SXSW 2013, the Creators Pod, a mobile recording studio, media lab, and art fabrication space, will be present at high profile live events, ranging from music and art festivals to technology conferences. The mission is to eventually
interconnect creators around the globe by joining forces with some of the worlds leading philanthropic organizations to build and permanently install similar facilities in developing countries with limited access to creative space and tools.
The inaugural presentation of the project will feature performances from a number of left- leaning musicians and producers like
Hundred Waters, araabMUZIK, Bondax,Samo Sound Boy, Kool Keith, Kilo Kish, Steven A. Clark and Crucial Taunt and more set against visual art by Church of Holy Colors and Lucas Leyva as well as a video web series by Kool Keith.
