“Drum is about setting each other free,” says MØ. “Whether it’s an old friend, a lover, a lifetime partner or even yourself, it’s about letting go in order to pursue your dreams, for better or worse. Sometimes we have to accept that we might not have a plan, but that we have to figure out our own shit – take the punches and get stronger – and the same goes for those we care about.”

MØ, AKA Karen Marie Ørsted, is the co-writer and voice of the Major Lazer tracks “Cold Water” and “Lean On”, and is currently putting the finishing touches to her second album, due for release in 2017. It will be the follow up to her debut album No Mythologies To Follow, released in 2014 to rave reviews. In the two years since, MØ has toured and won over festival crowds worldwide.
