Sadness is awful and happiness is exhausting in the world of 25-year old Mitski Miyawaki. The effect of her debut for Dead Oceans, fourth studio album. Puberty 2, however, is a stark opposite: invigorating, inspiring. After sharing much-discussed singles, “Your Best American Girl,” and “Happy,” and their accompanying videos, Puberty 2 is now available to stream in its entirety courtesy of NPR Music’s “First Listen.” Beginning next week, catch the Mitski live show all over North America (all dates are below). As previously noted, the live band will be a three-piece: Mitski (bass/vocals), Callan Dwan (guitar) and Casey Weissbuch (drums).
