Mise en Scene have returned new single “Angel” along with a lyric video of the pair roaming the streets of LA, filmed on location last month. The duo of guitarist/vocalist Stef Johnson and drummer Jodi Dunlop

The song is described as an equal mix of garage rock and dream pop that 90’s vibes are made of. Speaking on the track Stefanie explains, ”I realized a few years ago that there are real life angels in this world, people who come into your life and accept and love you for exactly who you are. I’m not a religious person, but I love that sentiment and metaphor. This song is about the uncertain joy in realizing these real life angels exist, and the cathartic recognition of who those real life angels are in your life….We all deserve real life angels. We are all worth it, and we are all good enough to love and be loved. This song is about the joy in accepting that love.”

The video for “Angel” was filmed in LA, at Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier and on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Stefanie says, “We were angels in the city of angles! How cute is that? The video is intended to capture the bond and friendship between us, our personalities and us having fun around LA. At the core of us, we are fun, so it was important for us to show our REALNESS. What you see is what you get.”

Dunlop and Johnson first united through a mutual love of the arts, painting together in any spare time they could carve out. The pair have since turned heads at SXSW and major international festivals like Germany’s Reeperbahn, The Great Escape in the U.K., and Spain’s Primavera Sound.
