Minor Victories share new 'Orchestral Variation' of "Scattered Ashes"

“Scattered Ashes” is the third track to be taken from the upcoming instrumental interpretation, Orchestral Variations, of Minor Victories’ self-titled debut album, released last summer through Fat Possum Records.

This orchestral interpretation of the album evolveed from the band’s initial workings and much of the original music came about through string arrangements and melodies. Orchestral Variations takes it back to that point, to the bare bones.

Accompanied by the visual talents of James and Justin Lockey under their Hand Held Cine Club moniker, the video continues follows the contemplative vibe of the brothers’ previous videos.

Following the release of their debut album, the band – comprised of Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite, Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell, Editors’ Justin Lockey and his brother James – made their live debut at London’s Village Underground in May, finishing 2016 with a European tour and a run of arena shows as guests of Placebo throughout the UK and Ireland.

Released on January 27 through Fat Possum, Orchestral Variations will be available digitally and a limited 180g double vinyl (w/ download code) housed in a gatefold greycard sleeve.
