Cosmonauts, is longstanding project of core members Alexander Ahmadi and Derek Cowart. The band just completed a tour with Night Beats and The Dandy Warhols. Cosmonauts have now announced that they’ll be bringing their shoegaze-y garage-punk to Europe this summer. Alongside the 20-date tour announcement, the band are sharing a new video for “Medio Litro” off their fifth album, Star 69, out now via Fuzz Club in Europe and Burger Records in the US.

As part of the European run, Cosmonauts will do two shows at this year’s Fuzz Club Eindhoven – both the main event at the Effenaar (Aug 23-24) and warm-up show at Stroomhuis (Aug 22) – joining the likes of Iceage, Kikagaku Moyo, Night Beats, The KVB, Tess Parks, Froth and more.

‘Medio Litro’ is a jangly reverb-soaked ode to the drunken, rambling conversations we’ve all had out on smoking patios at varying stages of that night’s bad decision-making. Lines like “We’ll go to the party / If we can find parking / We’ll go to the show / But we don’t have any money”’ and “Get another manager / and another publicist / Call me when you get this / Make it on the guest list” is a woozy lament to life in LA delivered with the sardonic wit and perfect detachment of a band that is well-acquainted with the game.
