Meat Wave share “Erased” North American Tour

Meat wave have shared their new single "Erased" from their 'Brother' EP. as well as announcing new tour dates

Ahead of their US and European summer tour dates, Chicago’s Meat Wave have unveiled a brand new track “Erased,” their first new material since January’s lauded Brother EP, released on Brace Yourself Records.

Meat Wave will play a string of one off dates in North America including: Riot Fest at the Double Door with fellow yung-punk upstarts, FIDLAR, Sled Island Festival in Calgary and The Fest in Gainesville, FL. The band will be road-testing new music from their forthcoming, as yet untitled second album, penciled in for release later in 2015. A full list of tour dates is below.

Meat Wave also recently shared the video for Brother EP highlight, “Sham King.” Directed by Andrew Robert Morrison, the clip follows the Chicago trio as they’re stalked by a grim reaper copycat. The song itself is sinister and driving – the type of menacing punk rock best appreciated from the middle of a sweaty pit.

“Sham King” is one of two newer songs that are featured on the Brother EP, which also includes two previously unreleased demos (“The Truth” and “I’ve Got Ants”), two songs from their 2012 self-released self-titled album (“It’s Not Alright” and the titular “Brother”) and a cover of the Wipers’ “Mystery.” With the release of the EP in January. Meat Wave is currently working on a new album to be released later in 2015.
